Enjoying the luxury of a mini-van or a taxi we drive along the main highway and then in the mountains in order to reach Delphi, the “navel” of the world for the ancient Greeks. It was a place dedicated to the god of light and divination, Apollo, and at the same time the most famous oracle of the Greek world. We begin with the visit to the archaeological site, where we will see the famous “treasuries”, the ruins of the temple of Apollo and seat of his oracle, the theatre and the stadium. In the nearby archaeological museum we will admire the works of art discovered during the excavation of the site, the most famous being the “Charioteer”. After a lunch break we return to Athens.
This tour takes us to the idyllic landscape of mount Parnassus!
